Plan a Private EventFrom Po’boys to the Carnival Bar
This room started out as our original po’boy shop, and in 2025 we turned it into the Carnival Bar.
The colorful carnival paintings on the walls belonged to Mr. Paul himself, and the vintage sideshow banners outside the door came with them. The rest is a little New Orleans: every bar at Mr. Paul’s has its own feel, and this one is the most playful, with a crystal chandelier and floral wallpaper.
The kitchen keeps a short menu of bar favorites: boudin balls, wings, a walleye po’boy, Cajun fries with béarnaise and the best burger in the neighborhood. The cocktails come from Bill Brown and Nick Kosevich, fun and a little whimsical, in the spirit of our Balloon Emporium dinners. Grab a beer, grab a cheeseburger and come watch the show.
Not your average neighborhood bar.
